About St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception

- One of the first Churchs in America to be named "Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception". Founded in 1856, The Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston. Listed in the National Register as part of the Edgefield Historic District.
  
  We are a welcoming Roman Catholic community located in a small rural town in South Carolina.
  
  We are called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all.
  
  We have been continuously here in Edgefield since before the Civil War.
